The GARDENA Universal Hatchet 900 B is a versatile cutting tool thanks to its small, one-handed shape. Thanks to its application-adapted blade and axe head geometry it is ideally suited for making kindling or for limbing small trees. Due to its compact size, it is easy to take on a trekking trip, for example. The axe has a well-balanced centre of gravity at the axe head for the right weight distribution and more striking power. The head handle attachment is break-proof to withstand higher loads. The hammer function at the head end makes it possible to effectively drive wooden, plastic or aluminium wedges (no steel wedges) into a log. The hardened blade made from premium tool steel reduces frictional resistance, eases penetration into the wood and wood resins do not stick as quickly. In addition, the universal axe is characterised by its comfortable as well as safe handling. The soft grip on the fibreglass-reinforced handle prevent slipping, making work as safe and comfortable as possible. In addition, the hook-shaped handle end (cow's foot) provides a high level of safety when sliding a hand down the handle.
