The small Universal Axe 1000 A from GARDENA is the right choice for various woodworking tasks. Due to its application-adapted blade and axe head it is ideally suited for limbing as well as splitting fresh and resinous wood or for removing roots. The center of gravity is close to the axe head and ensures increased impact force due to the perfect weight distribution. No matter how much force the axe is put under, it will withstand the strain thanks to the break-proof head handle attachment. At the head end is the hammer function, which makes it easy to effectively drive wedges of wood, plastic or aluminium (not steel wedges) into a larger log. When working with wood, the hardened blade made of premium tool steel will reliably cut each and every time. This is also due to the special coating, which reduces friction and eases penetration into the wood. Resins do not stick as quickly due to the coating. The axe has a great feel, which makes it fits firmly and safely in the hands. The soft grip components on the handle and the hook-shaped handle end (cow's foot) contribute to safety, as they prevent fingers from slipping off the handle.
